Run Surfer's Path

The Wahine 6k consists of a 3.8 mile run/walk. Why 6k? Because it’s the perfect loop from Capitola Village to Pleasure Point and back! The event starts in the heart of Capitola Village and travels to scenic Pleasure Point, offering sweeping views of the Monterey Bay. Participants will make the turn-around just past Pleasure Point and  return to the finish line located in the heart of Capitola Village.

Start Time

The race begins promptly at 8:10 am.

Course Management

The course is managed at a 20 minute per mile pace. If you are passed by the event crew, you will be asked to move onto the sidewalk. Once you are on the sidewalk, you must follow all traffic laws deemed by the County of Santa Cruz and City of Capitola.

Aid Station

There is one course water stations located near the turnaround.

Restrooms

Restrooms are available at the start, at the aid station and at the finish area.

Sweat Check

There will be a sweat check area near the Start/Finish line courtesy of Kennolyn Camps. Kennolyn_logo

Finish Area

Post race activities take place in Capitola Village near the beach. Participants pick up their surf inspired finisher shirts, receive post race food, and enjoy the finish celebration!

Finisher Necklace

Each finisher will receive a commemorative finisher’s necklace at the finish line.
